we set off in in August 2009 in Gliwice, photographing over a thousand people at two photoshoots.

posing against a neutral background, so that a human being could be highlighted, so that nothing could distract the viewer’s attention.

so that one could take a close look.

in order to put all those people together, one by one.

just the way they were back then, the way they will never be again.

briefly about the criteria

by ticking some boxes, you limit the search to persons meeting all the criteria within a given category. (e.g. having ticked ‘basically no hair’ and ‘beard’ you will get a selection of individuals with a beard yet with visible signs of lack of hair on the remaining part of the head).

We wish to apologise in advance for any inaccuracy in assessing the age and colour. Being males, apparently we do have a problem with that...
