
The Street Atelier is an in-between project touching upon a happening and documentary photography - we grab passersby, capturing the fleeting moments of their lives... At the same time, it is an attempt to focus on an individual - resulting in a personal portrait of any person willing to grant their consent for being photographed at that very instant. The neutral background allows for fixing attention on details, outfit trivia, posture and face expression.
To some extent, it is an attempt to make time stand still and remember all those persons just the way they were at that very instant, the way they will never be again... Last but not least, it is having them meet one another - all of them alike and yet... so much unalike. It is delight at diversity. It is delight at a human being.
While joining the stream of similar projects springing up across the world, we strove to enable the visitors to select the criteria freely, to juxtapose persons sharing similar features while also aiming at retaining some degree of randomness through constant shuffling, just as witnessed in real life...
